DIY All Natural Face Wash (Helps Acne and Wrinkles)

All Natural Mother daughter face wash …. Treats acne and wrinkles

Today is the day I face the reality that I am getting old. I am on the verge of getting wrinkles. My daughter is 11 going on 12 and has started breaking out with acne. I remember having struggled with fairly serious acne issues in my teens and I feel bad that she is probably going to as well. Now my kids are toe heads with beautiful porcelain white skin. So harsh chemical acne treatments are not an option.  I have researched different all natural alternatives and this is what I came up:

Witch hazel:

A natural astringent, has powerful antioxidant properties which helps kill bacteria in the pores, reduce swelling and redness. These same antioxidants help prevent aging and wrinkle in the skin.

Apple Cider Vinegar:

Again filled with natural anti inflammatory and bacteria killing power. Cleanses impurities from the pores and has also been shown to reduce fine lines and wrinkles.

Green Tea:

Green Tea has powerful antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties that reduce swelling in acne. Drinking green tea can help fight acne internally by helping to balance hormone and blood sugar levels, but can be useful when applied topically, as well.:

Tea tree oil:

Natural anti- bacterial, plus it adds a tingle after use that makes your feel clean and refreshed

**** All of these ingredients can be irritating to the skin and dry your skin out, which can lead to an overproduction of oil by your body to compensate and make the issue worse. Always dilute them with water and do not over use them. Always test on your skin in a small area first to check for allergic reactions, everyone’s skin is different. If you find it to be irritating your skin you can reduce the amount of ACV/ tea tree oil and dilute more with water***

Facial Cleaner recipe:

¼ part organic apple cider vinegar Organic ACV .

¼ part witch hazel

½ green tea ,brewed green tea

40-50 drops  tea tree oil

I brew a nice strong cup of green tea, remove the tea bag and allow to cool

I used this great little dispenser I found at the Dollar Tree Store

I filled ¼ the way with ACV, to the half way point of the container with witch hazel then I fill the rest of the way with the green tea and add a few drops of the tea tree oil. Pop the lid on and shake well.

My daughter and I both use it once a night before bed. If she is really having a break out , she uses in the morning too. Don’t go crazy with it though, it can dry out your skin.

You just moisten a cotton ball with the cleaner and rub it gently on your face. You can see the dirt and makeup it removes on the cotton ball. If you have too much dirt you may need to swap out for a fresh cotton ball.

My face tends to get dry, So I always apply a non-greasy facial moisturizer after I use the wash. My skin is left feeling clean and soft.
