Electric Pressure Cooker Chicken Tacos

Great Power Pressure Cooker XL Recipe

This is a flavorful spin on a traditional taco and is super easy and quick to make. This is one of my families favorite quick weeknight dinners.


2 chicken breast or 4 chicken thighs  (What Cut of Chicken to Buy?)

1/2 can of red enchilada sauce

1 small can green chiles

1/2 cup water


Put all the ingredients into you electric pressure cooker. I use the Power Pressure Cooker XL

Seal the lid and make sure the pressure valve is in the locked position. Press the soup/stew button and adjust time to 10 minutes.

while the meat is cooking. prepare your fresh toppings. Here are al list of optional taco toppings. You can choose the one’s you like:


chopped tomatoes


jalapeno peppers

shredded cheeses


sliced avocado

re-fried beans

black beans

After the pressure cooker beeps, release the steam valve , remove the lid , and stir well. Use a slotted spoon to serve so you can drain out the extra sauce. Spoon the meat chicken onto flour tortilla shells and top with your favorite taco toppings.
