Our First Egg: It’s a Double!

IMG_20160630_110403921

Apparently, there is a 1 in a thousand chance of getting a double yolk. I wonder what the chances of your very first fresh egg from the chicken’s being a double is? According to myth, this is either a sign of good luck, marriage, pregnancy or , if your Nordic, it means someone is going to die?! Damn my Norwegian ancestors! I am hoping for the good luck.

  1. Ok so true story. I used to work in my sister’s daycare. I was making scrambled eggs for breakfast. Crack egg double yolk. Next one double yolk. Next one double. Repeat for the whole dozen eggs. I was like holy mother of omens. Yup I was pregnant with twins.
