Refreshing Mint and Ginger Mojito


This slightly spicy twist on a classic summer cocktail is a refreshing way to spend a hot summer evening.

You will need:

A mason jar

1-1/2 cups fresh mint leaves

Clear Rum


powdered sugar

lime juice

Real organic ginger ale (The regular canned just isn’t the same)

Slightly bruise the mint leaves and put them in the mason jar. cover ?with the rum and let sit for at least 24 hours (the longer the better, shake one to twice a day)

Mix equal parts of the mint infused rum with equal parts of lime juice and ginger ale. sweeten with the powdered sugar and grated ginger root to taste. serve over ice with a lime wedge.
