Natural Cough Syrup

All natural cough syrup recipe:

 

1 quart water

¼ cup ginger

¼ cup thyme

¼ cup sage

¼ cup peppermint

1 tablespoon cinnamon

1/3 cup lemon juice

1 cup honey

 

Boil water on the stove. Add ginger, thyme, sage and peppermint. Reduce heat to a simmer. Simmer until the water reduces by half. Strain out the herbs using cheesecloth. Use 1 cup of the liquid. Mix with lemon juice, cinnamon, honey. Store in air tight container in the refrigerator for up to 6 weeks.
